Fond du Lac Area Bird & Nature Alliance announce spring programs

The Fond du Lac Area Bird & Nature Alliance has announced two free spring programs, and says the public is welcome to participate.

The first is an evening hike in the Eldorado Marsh taking place as the full moon rises on Wednesday April 1st, 2026.

The hike starts at 6:45 p.m. and will last about an hour, as the group walks along the trail at the end of Dike Road.

The group says there should be an opportunity to see and hear the birds in the marsh at this time. Participants should wear good hiking shoes and dress warm, and bring binoculars for a closer view of the birds.

Those taking part in the hike are asked to meet in the parking lot at the end of Dike Road on the east side of Eldorado Marsh at 6:45 pm.

The walk will be cancelled if skies are too cloudy and obscure the full moon experience.

The second event will be a talk about ducks in Wisconsin, given by President of Horicon Marsh Bird Club, Jeff Bahls.

The talk will be given Wednesday, April 8, at 7 p.m., at MPTC, in Room E120.
