Fond du Lac Community Theatre to present Grumpy Old Men

Fond du Lac Community Theatre (FDLCT) is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the beloved comedy Grumpy Old Men, based on the hit 1993 film of the same name. This production will run Thursday, September 26 – Saturday, September 28 with 7pm performances, and Sunday, September 29 with a 2pm performance.  This production will take place at Goodrich Little Theater located at 72 W. 9th Street in Fond du Lac.

Set in a small Midwestern town, Grumpy Old Men follows the lives of John Gustafson and Max Goldman, two curmudgeonly old men who have been at odds with each other for decades. Their rivalry is fueled by a blend of petty squabbles and deep-seated grievances, all of which come to a head when the beautiful and spirited Ariel Truax moves in across the street. As the two men vie for her affection, they find themselves confronting their own vulnerabilities, regrets, and the possibility of rekindling an unlikely friendship.

“We have a fabulous cast who are working hard to welcome you to Wabasha!,” Mary Runde, co-director, said. “These musical uses singing and dancing to tell the story of Max Goldman and John Gustafson who are nursing a 50-year-old grudge. Michael Detert and Matthew Rodenkirch are John and Max. We also have Joe and Sue Kemp as the local Polka champs and Gary Sharpe as Chuck, the owner of the local bait shop. Lynn Moon will steal your heart as Ariel, the newcomer to Wabasha, where the community sticks together like glue!”

This cast features a talented ensemble of actors, supported by a skilled creative team.
