Fond du Lac County Officers nab another person who attempted to elude them

A Milwaukee man was taken into custody Friday night after he attempted to run from Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The incident started as a traffic stop on Military Road near Highway 151 in Fond du Lac, just after 9 PM. The driver was identified as having a history of attempting to elude police, so another officer stopped by to assist. When officers asked the man to step out of his vehicle, he refused and instead put the car in drive to take off. One of the officers deployed their tazer to try and subdue the man but he drove off.
The pursuit turned south onto Pioneer Road where the driver struck the roundabouts at Pioneer Road and Hickory Street. The driver continued, turning south on Park Avenue then Martin Avenue to Police Memorial Drive.
As the driver turned onto Camelot Drive, a Deputy was able to perform a PIT maneuver on the suspect vehicle, causing it to lose control. The suspect vehicle went off the roadway and drove through the lawn of a business on Camelot Drive. The pursuit continued north on Camelot Drive where another Deputy was able to successfully perform a PIT maneuver and the vehicle came to a stop.
A high-risk traffic stop was performed and the driver, a 45-year-old man from Milwaukee, was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of felony fleeing / eluding, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, felony bail jumping, and criminal damage to property. He was out on a $500 cash bond through Brown County for felony fleeing / eluding.
