Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies capture another driver trying to elude them

On Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at approximately 4:02 pm, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was advised by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office that they had just terminated a vehicle pursuit on I-41 near State Highway 28 near the border of Dodge and Washington Counties.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was requesting the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office to attempt to stop the vehicle, if located, and take the driver into custody on their Felony Fleeing / Eluding charges.
At 4:20pm, a Sergeant with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle traveling south on State Highway 175 near CTH F, located in the Township of Byron. The Sergeant attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which increased its speeds, leading to a vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit went south on 175 into Dodge County and continued south through Lomira. The Sergeant was now joined in the pursuit by a Dodge County Sheriff’s Office deputy. A deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was able to get tire deflation devices deployed near STH 28. The suspect observed these in the roadway and turned around prior to striking them, now traveling back north on 175.
The vehicle briefly continued north before pulling over on 175 near County Highway AH in Dodge County.
The driver and lone occupant, a 31-year-old Menomonee Falls man, was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail and held on charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Felony Fleeing / Eluding, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Operating While Intoxicated – 3rd Offense, and a probation hold. He is on probation for Felony Fleeing / Eluding.
The pursuit lasted a total of 9 miles. No injuries were sustained and no civilian or law enforcement vehicles sustained any damages. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
