The Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Department responded early this morning to a house on fire at 130 west Division Street.
At about 2:48 AM, The fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call regarding the fire, and upon arrival, fire crews saw smoke coming from the house. As some firefighters made their way into the house with a hose, others were bringing cages with pets out. Three dogs and a rabbit were taken out of the residence. Two of the dogs were unconscious and were tended to by firefighters. Both were revived using small animal oxygen masks.

Two children that were upstairs at the time of the fire used a fire escape ladder out of a second story window to get out of the house.
Division Street was closed for about an hour while crews worked the scene.
