Fond du Lac Man Killed in Accident

On Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:20 pm the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report of a motor vehicle crash on STH 44 north of Fletcher Rd in the Town of Rosendale. Preliminary investigation indicates a northbound car, operated by a 27 year old Fond du Lac man, lost control on the snow covered pavement, crossed the centerline, striking a southbound Semi, which was operated by 49 year old Larry Lindner of Shawano. The operator of the Northbound car was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released at this time. The operator of the Semi was not injured. 

Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol, Town of Ripon PD, Winnebago Co Sheriff’s Deputies, Rosendale Fire and First Responders and Ripon EMS responded to this incident. This is the 8th traffic fatality in 2013 in Fond du Lac County.
