Fond du Lac man receives serious injuries after being hit by vehicle

On January 24, 2025 at approximately 6:06 p.m. the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple 911 calls about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of W. Johnson Street near Rolling Meadows Drive, in the Town of Fond du Lac.

Initial investigation shows an SUV, operated by a 23 year old man from Fond du Lac, was eastbound in the left lane of Johnson Street. A 67 year old man from Fond du Lac attempted to cross both eastbound lanes of traffic on foot northbound. The SUV struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian received serious injuries, and was transported via ambulance to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The operator of the SUV was not injured.

The driver of the SUV is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.

One eastbound lane of W. Johnson Street was closed for approximately one hour. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue.
