Fond du Lac man who fled traffic stop taken into custody on warrant

A Fond du Lac man that had a warrant was taken into custody overnight, Thursday, October 22, 2026, after initially driving away from a traffic stop in the City of Fond du Lac.

The 25-year-old man was pulled over just after 1 a.m. Thursday morning near the intersection of Arndt and Seymour, and after being identified, took off from the officer.

Because the officer knew who the man was, the decision was made not to initiate a pursuit.

After running the man’s name, it was discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest.

Officers continued to search the area and eventually found the vehicle parked and empty at Merrill and Algoma streets.

This was near the man’s last known address, so officers made contact at the house where the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
