Fond du Lac Police assist Dodge County Sheriff with capture of stabbing suspect

The Fond du Lac Police Department assisted the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office with a tactical situation yesterday in the Watertown area.

At 5:13 PM, the sheriff’s office received word of a 36-year-old female that was seriously injured in a domestic incident on County Highway Q, northwest of Watertown.

Deputies arrived on scene and removed the female, who suffered multiple serious stab wounds, and brought her to a waiting ambulance for treatment.

Officers then turned their attention to the residence where the 38-year-old male suspect was still inside. The suspect remained barricaded inside the residence for almost seven hours while police tried to negotiate with him.

At 12:16 AM, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was able to make entry and take him into custody. also assisting Dodge County was the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Watertown Police, and equipment loaned and operated by the Fond du Lac Police Department.
