Fond du Lac Police have a message for pre homecoming celebrations

With homecoming celebrations coming up this weekend at both St. Mary’s Springs Academy and Fond du Lac High School, the Fond du Lac Police Department has a message for parents.

Police are partnering with Fond du Lac High School and Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County through the One Choice prevention campaign.

Parents are being encouraged to talk with their students before they head out for homecoming. Police say parents should know where their kids are going and who they’ll be with — and remind them that if they ever need a safe ride home, they can call their parents, with no questions asked until the next day.

Police say it doesn’t have to be a big conversation. It just needs to happen.

The department is wishing all students a safe and memorable homecoming weekend.
