Fond du Lac Police investigate vehicle entry on city’s west side
City of Fond du Lac Police took a person into custody overnight Monday, September 7, 2026, after a resident on the city’s west side reported seeing two people going through a vehicle.
At 2:55 a.m., officers were sent to the 400 block of north Peters Avenue for the vehicle entry report.
Shortly after 3, while searching the area, an officer spotted the two suspects near the intersection of Scott and Peters. The officer watched the two men until more officers could get to the area. During that time, the suspects were reported to have started running westbound and split up.
Officers were able to take one of the two into custody, while other officers deployed a drone to attempt to find the second.
After a brief search, officers were unable to find the second person.
Residents in the area between Scott and Arndt Streets on either side of Peters Avenue are urged to check for vehicle entries overnight and revue any security footage from overnight to see if you may have captured the two. If you have any evidence or information, you should contact the City of Fond du Lac Police.
