Man who fired gun in occupied apartment turns himself in

UPDATE: Tyler D. Niederbaumer turned himself into FDLPD Officers without incident and is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The City of Fond du Lac Police are looking for a man that reportedly discharged a gun in an occupied apartment Saturday night.

Police were called to a disturbance in an apartment complex near the area of Marr and Division Streets. The caller stated about 15 to 20 juveniles were having a party and they heard one person say that someone was stabbed and they saw another person with a gun.

Upon arrival, police learned that one person tried to stab another with the victim receiving cuts on their hand as they defended themselves. That person ended up getting a ride to an area hospital.

While talking with others at the scene, it was learned that another male had fired a gun inside the apartment, with rounds entering two adjacent apartments. No injuries were found to have occurred from the shots being fired.

A suspect was identified as 22-year-old Tyler Niederbaumer of Elm Grove.

Police issued a felony warrant for Niederbaumer for Recklessly Endangering Safety with Use of a Dangerous Weapon as well as a probation/parole warrant as he is out on probation for drug charges in
Ozaukee County.

Police are asking for any assistance from the public in finding Niederbaumer or any other information on events that took place Saturday night.
