Fond du Lac product makes next round of “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” contest

Two products made by companies in the Fond du Lac and Oshkosh areas have advanced to the Top 16 in this year’s Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest.

Fives Giddings and Lewis of Fond du Lac is in the competition with its Giddings and Lewis Vertical Turning Centers.

And Muza Sheet Metal Company of Oshkosh advanced with its Barrel Collection.

In the bracket style voting, number 9 seeded Fives Giddings and Lewis will go up against number 8 seeded Enerpac Tool Group of Milwaukee.

Voting takes place on the contest’s web site at https://www.madeinwis.com/

The annual contest, sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce and BMO, started with more than a hundred Wisconsin-made products.

Voting in the first round of the Manufacturing Madness tournament begins at 8 a.m. Thursday October 1, 2026, and continues through 5 p.m. Tuesday, October 6.

People can vote once a day per email address. The Top 8 will be announced October 7th.

This year’s Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin will be announced October 27th in Madison.
