Fond du Lac Thunder Bantam Hockey State Champions

On February 22, 2026, the Fond du Lac Thunder Bantam A Hockey team won the Wisconsin State Championship in Superior, WI.

The team secured the title with a 5-1 victory over Hudson in the championship game. To reach the finals, Fond du Lac defeated Stevens Point 7-0 and SHAW 5-0. It was an incredible season for these players ending the season with a 42-4-1 record.

Mason Umentum paced the team in scoring and finished as the top goal scorer, assist leader, and point getter in Wisconsin. Goalie, Colt Wernli was outstanding in net, giving up only a single goal during the entire state tournament. He finished the year with 12 shutouts, leading the state of Wisconsin.

The championship team also includes key contributors Jackson Provot, Jovani Mansueto, Madden Mentink, Lucas Wilke, Maxwell Bobo, Jayce Shaudvitis, Leo Claus, Blayn Rademann, Mason Scharf, Khyler Theisen-Leist, and Easton McDermott. The team was coached by Matt Bobo, Jesse Umentum and Justin Mansueto.
