Fond du Lac’s Henschel Commits to Platteville
Fond du Lac High School’s standout running back Mason Henschel has officially announced his commitment to continue his football career at Division III UW-Platteville. The senior star leaves behind an impressive high school legacy and looks ahead to making his mark at the collegiate level.
Henschel was a force in the Cardinals’ backfield this past season, rushing for 1,275 yards and 12 touchdowns. His consistency and explosiveness earned him First Team All-Conference honors, cementing his reputation as one of the premier running backs in the region. In one of his most dominant performances, Henschel carried the ball 46 times for 302 yards, showcasing both his durability and ability to take over a game.
Beyond the numbers, Henschel’s leadership and work ethic stood out to coaches and teammates alike. His commitment to UW-Platteville reflects not only his athletic talent but also his dedication to continuing his growth on and off the field.
The Pioneers gain a versatile and determined running back who has proven he can handle a heavy workload and deliver in big moments. For Fond du Lac, Henschel’s departure marks the end of a memorable chapter, but his next journey promises to be just as exciting.
