Franklin Park eyed for bike pump track – public’s opinion sought

The City of Fond du Lac is currently exploring the possibility of adding a bike pump track to Franklin Park, and their looking to hear the publics thoughts on the project.

The city will be hosting a public information meeting to answer your questions, and gather feedback on this potential project.

A Pump Track is a continuous loop of rollers and banked turns designed to be ridden by “pumping” with your body rather than pedaling.

They say Franklin Park was picked for the track to enhance the recreational offerings of the park, making it a more vibrant and active hub for local families, but before any decisions are made, the city wants to ensure the design meets the needs of the neighborhood.

This public information listening session to learn about this potential project and speak with staff will be held this Monday, Following the Advisory Park Board Meeting at 6:00 PM in the City/County Government Center at 160 S Macy Street.

Franklin Park sits between Military Road and 9th Street on the city’s west side.
