Hahn promoted to Lieutenant on City of Fond du Lac Police Department

The Fond du Lac Police Department has announced the promotion of Detective Nicholas Hahn to the rank of Lieutenant effective Monday, January 6, 2025.

Hahn has been with the Police Department since 2001 after becoming certified through the Wisconsin Police Corps police certification program in Fort McCoy.

Over the course of his 23-year career with department, Hahn has served the department as a SWAT Tactical Team Operator and Assistant Team Leader, SWAT Crisis Negotiation Team Leader, Street Crimes Unit member, School Resource Officer, and Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group narcotics task force member.

As a Detective he held a lead role in numerous major case investigations including homicides, sexual assaults, and internet crimes against children. Hahn played a major role in developing and implementing a Drug Endangered Children program and assisted other local agencies in starting their own programs.

Hahn will be assigned to the Special Services Division where he’ll serve as the supervisor of Criminal Investigations and provide leadership for the Detective Bureau, Internet Crimes Against Children investigations, Community Impact Unit, and Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
