Hazel L. Stephenson Scholarship Recipients Named

The Hazel L. Stephenson Scholarship Committee has selected 7 Fond du Lac County young adults to receive scholarships for the upcoming school year. The Stephenson Scholarship Fund was established over 50 years ago by the will of the late Hazel L. Stephenson of Fond du Lac. Its purpose is to assist students from the county in attaining or completing an education at a UW System school.

A total of $17,000 will be distributed among the following recipients (in alphabetical order):

Sophia Adelmeyer. Sophia will be a sophomore at UW-Madison. She will major in political science with plans of becoming an immigration lawyer. She is a 2025 graduate of Horace Mann High School. Parents are Elitsa and David Adelmeyer of Fond du Lac.

Jaimie Deschand. Jaimie will be a senior at UW-Stevens Point. She is majoring in data analytics with minors in mathematics and business administration with the career goal of working as a business intelligence analyst.. She is a 2022 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. Parent is Kathi Seidl-Deschand of Fond du Lac.

Ella Goebel. Ella will be a senior at UW-Madison. Her major is rehabilitation psychology, with the career goal of working in occupational therapy. She is a 2023 graduate of Campbellsport High School. Parents are Jill and Gary Goebel of Eden.

Grace Guderski. Grace will be a senior at UW-Madison. Her major is biology with the career goal of becoming a dentist. She is a 2023 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. Parents are Jill and Jon Guderski of Fond du Lac.

Peyton Hall. Peyton will be a first time student at UW-La Crosse. Her major will be biochemistry with the goal of becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist. She is a 2026 graduate of Campbellsport High School. Parents are Angela and Douglas Hall.

Jacy Krueger. Jacy will be a sophomore at UW-Madison. She is majoring in global health with the goal of becoming a physician assistant. She is a 2025 graduate of Waupun Area High School. Parents are Jennifer and Eric Krueger of Waupun.

Jaiden Lefeber. Jaiden will be a senior at UW-Milwaukee. She is majoring in civil engineering with the career goal of becoming a professional geotechnical engineer. She is a 2023 graduate of New Holstein High School. Parents are Barbara and Timothy Lefeber of Saint Cloud.
