19-year-old killed in Highway 151 crash

Around 5:35 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office as well as Gold Cross Ambulance, Town Of Calumet Fire Department and First Responders, Stockbridge Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and Flight For Life Medical Helicopter responded to a head-on collision on Highway 151 just north of the Fond du Lac County line, near Indian Road.

Preliminary investigation showed a northbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man from Chilton, crossed over the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man from the Town Of Calumet and then started on fire.

The 19-year-old died at the scene and the 28-year-old was airlifted to Theda-Care Regional Trauma Center by Flight For Life.

The crash remains under investigation and the Wisconsin State Patrol did a crash reconstruction of the incident. Highway 151 was closed for about four and a half hours, and was reopened around 10 PM.
