Hit and run driver that severely injured 18-year-old caught – appears in court

An Oshkosh man has been charged with hit and run causing great bodily harm after a crash there left a teenager severely injured.

32-year-old Victor Langemak was given a $5,000 cash bond for the incident which occurred on December 12th.

According to police, Langmak was driving a truck that struck an 18-year-old woman at the intersection of Bowen Street and Merrit Avenue as she crossed in the crosswalk.

The woman suffered severe injuries, including five broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a broken leg.

Police were able to use surveillance footage from the area, which allowed them to track the vehicle down and arrest Langemak.

Langemak appeared for his preliminary hearing Monday, December 29, 2025, without a lawyer so the court scheduled a further proceedings date for January 12.
