Icy roads reported throughout Fond du Lac County Tuesday morning
Area roads iced up this morning, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, after temperatures dropped below freezing around 5 a.m.
Things started going down hill at 4:50 a.m., when the Campbellsport Fire Department was dispatched to a rollover crash on Highway 45 near F by Waucousta. The driver was uninjured, but needed help getting out of the vehicle.
Responding sheriff’s deputies advised 45 and County V were glare ice.
Other crashes were reported on G north of Kewaskum, G north of St Cloud and WH north of Mt Calvary.
Shortly before 1 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement saying Fog and Dropping Temperatures could Create Slick Spots… saying skies were clearing and winds were becoming calm. This combination will cause temperatures to drop below freezing. Any wet untreated roadways or elevated surfaces, such as bridges or overpasses, could become icy this morning.
