Identities released of four Wisconsin residents killed in deadly Illinois plane crash

A small plane crash in central Illinois killed four people from Menomonie, the Coles County coroner confirmed. 

Raimi A. Rundle, 45, Courtney L. Morrow, 36, Ross R. Nelson, 46, and Michael H. Morrow, 48, died when the single-engine Cessna 180 crashed around 10:15 a.m. Saturday near Coles County Memorial Airport in Mattoon, Illinois.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are still investigating the cause of the crash. 

All four occupants were pronounced dead at the site of the crash in Trilla, Illinois. 

Coles County Coroner Ed Schniers told WPR the plane was flying from Nashville to Illinois. 

“We keep those impacted by the plane crash in our thoughts today,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said on social media. “Thank you to the first responders who rushed to the scene.”
