Jade’s Promise Dog Rescue – Wisconsin Dogs, Wisconsin Families

Jade’s Promise Dog Rescue is a new foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in Plymouth, Wisconsin, with a mission to support dogs and families throughout Wisconsin.

Jade’s Promise grew from years of volunteering in animal rescue and seeing firsthand that sometimes the difference between a dog staying with the family who loves them, entering a shelter, or getting another chance is simply having the right support at the right time.

That’s the gap the organization hope to help fill.

Their mission is built around four areas. Community Support helps Wisconsin families facing temporary hardships keep their dogs whenever possible. Surrender Support provides another option when a family truly can no longer keep their dog. Thoughtful Adoption focuses on making lasting matches between dogs and families. And Shelter Intervention allows them to help Wisconsin shelter dogs who are being overlooked, struggling in the shelter environment, or simply need another path.

One of the beliefs behind Jade’s Promise is that rescue doesn’t always have to begin after a dog has lost its home. Sometimes helping the dog means helping the family first.

Right now, Jade’s Promise is focused on building the foundation that will allow them to begin helping dogs responsibly. A huge part of that is developing our foster network.

Because Jade’s Promise is completely foster-based, every foster home added increases the ability to help another Wisconsin dog. Jade’s Promise is looking for foster families throughout the state, and no previous rescue experience is required. They say they want to work with each foster to find dogs that fit their home, experience, and comfort level while providing support throughout the process.

They’re intentionally building Jade’s Promise slowly and responsibly. The organization is looking for foster homes, funding, veterinary partnerships, and support systems in place so that when they make a promise to a dog or family, they’re prepared to keep it.

They’re also inviting the community to come meet them at the Jade’s Promise Dog Rescue Launch Party on Saturday, November 7 from 1–5 p.m. at Camp Y-Koda’s Johnsonville Lodge.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. The afternoon will be a chance to learn more about Jade’s Promise, meet the people behind the organization, and find out how to get involved. The event will also have a bonfire and s’mores, hot chocolate and cider, mini photo sessions, custom dog collars and tags, a dog treat bar, kids’ activities, and more.

Whether someone is interested in fostering, volunteering, supporting the Promise Fund, or simply wants to learn more about what they’re building, Jade’s Promise would love to have them attend.
