Kewaskum schools closed Tuesday due to unspecified threat
Kewaskum Middle/High School students got an earlier than expected start to their thanksgiving holiday vacation Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as the schools closed early due to a threat the school received in the morning.
A phone call received, announced a potential threat to student safety, so the school district, working with police, decided to call off classes for the day as a precaution to keep students and staff safe.
Police investigated the credibility of the threat and came to the conclusion that there is no ongoing danger to students or the community.
This was the second day in a row the school was dealing with threats as the school and police also investigated an anonymous threat received Monday through social media.
Authorities determined that threat was not credible and school was continued as normal.
Like many schools in the area, the schools are now off for the rest of the week and will resume classes Monday.
