The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Waupun Fire Department, and Dodge County Emergency Management responded to the area of W6631 Milligan Road in the Town of Chester for a report of a propane delivery truck rollover crash. This has resulted in a road closure affecting residents on Milligan Road between County Highway M and State Highway 26, just south of Waupun.
At approximately 8:21 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash involving a propane delivery vehicle near W6631 Milligan Road. The initial investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office showed that a propane delivery truck driven by a 71-year-old man from Fond du Lac was traveling west on Milligan Road, left the roadway, struck a driveway, and overturned. Propane was leaking, and the residences in the immediate area were evacuated.
The driver of the truck was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with what’s believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, the roadway remains closed while members of the Dodge County Hazmat mitigate the threat.
The crash remains under investigation. Also responding to the scene were the Waupun Fire Department, Lifestar EMS, Dodge County Emergency Management, and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
