Madison physician solves housing crisis for traveling nurses

Reliable Residence, a physician-founded housing platform, is expanding into Fond du Lac to connect healthcare professionals with furnished monthly housing while creating income opportunities for local homeowners.

The platform supports local hospital systems by providing housing resources for healthcare professionals seeking safe, affordable 30+ day stays.

After a dangerous housing experience as a medical student, Madison based physician Christina Henderson built a platform that connects nurses and doctors with safe, furnished monthly housing.

Henderson says “What most people don’t realize is that the healthcare shortage is worsening, even in Fond du Lac. Hospitals bring in travel nurses & doctors, but when they can’t find housing, they don’t show up. That leads to longer ER waits and delayed surgeries.”

Henderson says the program has already proven this housing resource helps solve the housing issue in Madison and are now expanding to Fond du Lac.

“This problem affects everyone” Henderson added, “because at some point, every person in the community will be cared for by a traveling nurse or doctor.”
