Major fire at Neenah Foundry draws large fire department response

Thick black smoke was seen from miles around the Neenah/Menasha area yesterday evening as a large fire broke out at one of the Neenah Foundry buildings at 2051 Aylward Street in Neenah.

At 8:47 PM a MABAS call went out to bring in numerous fire departments to battle the blaze which saw flames erupting out of the upper portion of the building.

Officials say the fire was out after about two and a half hours and no workers were reported injured in the blaze.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
