Man crashes car into house in Oshkosh – runs from scene

Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, law enforcement were in a short manhunt in a northern Oshkosh neighborhood after witnesses saw a vehicle traveling near 100 miles per hour lose control, and roll across a lawn, ultimately coming to rest up against a house, causing damage to the residence.

After the crash, a man who was the only occupant of the vehicle, fled on foot.

Upon investigating the crash, officers learned the man was just involved in a disorderly conduct call in Neenah where the man was suspected of “trashing his ex girlfriend’s house.”

Officers set up a perimeter and began tracking the area where the man was found hiding in some bushes a few blocks away from the crash site and was taken into custody.
