Man involved in February Fond du Lac County chase also charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver – Fentanyl

In late February, a Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. At that time, the operator of the vehicle failed to stop for the deputy, increased the speed of the vehicle and fled. With that, a pursuit was initiated which resulted in the use of tire deflation devices and a Pursuit Intervention Technique (P.I.T) to disable the fleeing vehicle and end the pursuit.

Original story of the pursuit

The operator, a 43 year Waushara county man was taken in to custody without further incident. During a search of the vehicle, approximately 38 grams of Fentanyl was recovered. The subject is facing charges of Felony Eluding, Possession With Intent to Deliver – Fentanyl and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. This subject has a criminal history involving the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics dating all the way back to 2000. He is currently in custody in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
