Man sentenced to 30 years in prison for role in Fond du Lac murder

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced Monday, December 15, 2025, that Dawson Miller was sentenced to a term of 30 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision for his part in a February of 2024 murder that occurred in the City of Fond du Lac.

In that incident, Miller was the driver of a car that brought 20-year-old Annaka Trudell to a drug deal with Ashley Calo in the Anytime Fitness parking lot near the intersection of north Macy and west Follett Streets.

Trudell and Miller devised a plan to set up the drug deal with Calo in the parking lot, but not pay her. Miller told Trudell to have a knife with her in the event the robbery went bad.
After the altercation where Trudell ended up stabbing Calo several times, she ran back to
the car where Miller was waiting and the two fled. Calo was transported to the hospital where she was
pronounced deceased.

Miller was convicted of the Murder back in September in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court.
Trudell pleaded no contest in May to charges of Reckless Homicide with a Dangerous Weapon in a plea deal and is awaiting sentencing.
