Mercury Marine Drives Economic Impact Through Longstanding Support of Walleye Weekend in Fond du Lac

Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), is helping fuel significant economic impact across Fond du Lac through its longstanding support as the title sponsor of Walleye Weekend, a three-day festival that attracts more than 50,000 attendees annually and supports local businesses, tourism and community organizations.

Mercury Marine has supported Walleye Weekend since its inception in 1978, sponsoring key events while contributing resources and employee volunteer support to help power the event’s continued growth and success. Dozens of Mercury employees volunteer throughout the weekend, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the community it calls home and its broader investment in the region, including more than $2.5 billion invested in Wisconsin over the past decade.

“Events like Walleye Weekend play an important role in supporting the local economy,” said Mercury Marine President John Buelow. “By bringing thousands of visitors to Fond du Lac each year, they help drive business for local companies, support tourism and generate meaningful funding for community organizations. We’re proud to help make that impact possible.”

Mercury Marine partners with a wide range of community organizations across the Fond du Lac region, including United Way, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Fond du Lac Festivals, and Envision Greater Fond du Lac, among others, supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen the region and enhance quality of life.
