Milwaukee man who provided fentanyl that killed Fond du Lac woman sentenced to 30 years
A Milwaukee man will spend 30 years in prison and extended supervision for supplying the fentanyl that killed a Fond du Lac woman.
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says Judge Tricia Walker sentenced Keyandre Fowler to 15 years of initial confinement, followed by 15 years of extended supervision.
A jury convicted Fowler of first-degree reckless homicide in June.
According to the criminal complaint, the investigation began after a woman was found dead inside a Fond du Lac apartment in December of 2024.
Investigators determined that the woman had used fentanyl obtained from a Milwaukee source known as “Purp.” Authorities later identified that source as Fowler.
The complaint says the fentanyl was purchased the day before the woman was found dead, and an autopsy confirmed she died from a fatal level of fentanyl.
The state had recommended between 20 and 30 years of initial confinement, followed by another 15 to 20 years of extended supervision.
Fowler faced a maximum possible sentence of 46 years of initial confinement and 20 years of extended supervision.
