Missing Milwaukee man with warrant captured in Dodge County after pursuit

A missing person was apprehended yesterday in the Lomira area after a short, low speed pursuit.
At around 2:30 PM, a Flock camera recognized the vehicle operated by a reported missing man from the Milwaukee area. As officers responded to the area to look for the man, they also learned he had a warrant for criminal behavior tied to some mental health issues.
Less than 15 minutes later, a lieutenant from the Dodge County sheriff’s office located the vehicle in the same area of the Flock camera and began to follow it. A traffic stop was attempted, but The driver failed to yield, and a low speed pursuit took place over a distance of about 2 miles on Interstate 41.
During the pursuit, The driver called 911 and said he was going to go to a gas station nearby which he did and he surrendered without incident.
The 37-year-old man faces Misdemeanor charges in Dodge County for failing to immediately stop for law enforcement as well as the warrant from Milwaukee County.
