Multiple fire department open house planned in Fond du Lac

Fond du Lac Fire Rescue and fire departments from across Fond du Lac County are getting ready for a big community open house.

The event is scheduled for October 6, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.

There will be firetrucks, educational activities, vendors and other family friendly activities.

Organizers say it will be an opportunity for people to meet local firefighters and learn more about fire safety,

Sparky the Dog fire mascot is also expected to make an appearance.
