National Weather Service says watch for possible freezing rain overnight
Discussion from National Weather Service forcasters in southeast Wisconsin hint at a small chance of some light freezing rain during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 19, 2026.
Here is a statement taken from there page.
A mix of freezing rain and rain will be possible overnight tonight into early Thursday morning, which could result in some slick spots for the Thursday morning commute. At this time, confidence is not high in the development of precipitation and resultant icing impacts, but this remains worth keeping an eye on.
They go on to say: Precipitation may not develop due to a dry layer near the ground, or the potential for precipitation could remain north of the area. If precipitation reaches the ground, temperatures near or just below freezing will allow it to freeze on contact which will be especially true for elevated and untreated surfaces.
KFIZ will continue to monitor the situation.
