New Fond du Lac County jail discussion continues at upcoming county board meeting

Those wishing to follow along with the next steps in the building of a new jail in Fond du Lac County are recommended to attend the Fond du Lac County Board meeting to be held Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the City County Government Center, Legislative Chambers.

On the agenda is a resolution authorizing the proper county officials to accept the qualified bid from Venture Architects, LLC for the completion of a Phase One Jail Project Schematic Designs for both the Scott Road and Western Avenue sites as well as to enter into a service agreement with Just Us Service Group, LLC for completion of a jail planning comprehensive study, including jail population forecasting; justice system assessment; alternatives to incarceration programs and appropriation of $211,250 from the Contingency-Major Projects account to fund said designs and services.

There will be no opportunities for public speaking at the meeting.
