November is our transition month into winter type weather, despite winter still being several weeks away

November may be starting a bit above average temperature wise, but don’t let your guard down. November is known to have fast moving, large storm systems that can really crank out some serious weather systems.

The average high temperature at the start of the month comes in at 50 degrees, but drops to 36 by the end of the month.

Lows come in at 34 at the start and drop to 23 by months end.

Our record high was 81 degrees on November 1st back in 1933 and our record low is -10 in 1925 on November 25th.

Our average monthly precipitation in just under two inches with just over two inches of snow falling.

Our most rainfall in a day came all the way back on November 21st of 1906 when two inches of rain fell, and our snowiest day was on November 30th of 1928 when 11 inches of the white stuff fell.

Our wettest month was in 1934 when 6.6 inches of rain fell, and our snowiest month occurred in 1940 when 19 inches fell throughout the month.
