Oakfield High School Wins $5K in Friday Night 5G Lights Program

Oakfield High School has won five-thousand dollars through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights program.

The program is part of a national effort focused on high school football and community pride. Oakfield is one of 15 Wisconsin schools to receive a five-thousand-dollar prize so far this year.

The school can use the money for academics, athletics or other needs within the school community.

This win now puts Oakfield in the running to potentially win considerably more.

The program will select 40 division finalists, with each receiving 25-thousand dollars. Public voting will then determine four division champions, who will receive 250-thousand dollars each, along with additional prizes.

The grand prize is a one-million-dollar football stadium upgrade.

Schools can still apply for the program through September 18th. Public voting for the finalists will take place October 8th through the 25th, with the grand prize winner announced November 12th.
