Amelia Adelaide Wilk

Amelia Adelaide (“Little Peanut”) Wilk was born November 11, 2013 and joined the angels in Heaven on November 15, 2013 at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Amelia was a strong and beautiful little girl.  She loved snuggling with her mom and dad and receiving hugs and kisses.  She now watches over them as their beautiful guardian angel.

Amelia is survived by her parents, Brandon and Melissa (Diederichs) Wilk of Hartford; maternal grandparents, Paul and Nancy Diederichs of Malone; paternal grandfather, Thomas Wilk of Rockville, MD; maternal great grandparents, Gerald and Bernice Diederichs and Genevieve Kraus; paternal great grandparents, Stephen and Marcia Wilk and Shirley Werner; and several aunts and uncles, Jessica (Eric) Stuewer, Katie Diederichs (fiancé, Tim Muldoon), Cameron Wilk, and Justin Wilk.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Kathleen Wilk; paternal great grandfather, Wayne Werner; and maternal great grandfather, Joseph Kraus.

Amelia’s family would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital for all of the their support, care, and hard work.  They would also like to thank their extended family and friends for their kind words and support during this challenging time.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, from 4 to 8 in the evening at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac and on Saturday, November 23, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, St. Peter.
