Mary D. Kunick
Mary D. Kunick, 88, of Van Dyne, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 peacefully with family by her side. She was born on February 6, 1934 to Edwin and Gladys (Koepke) Perrizo.
On July, 27, 1957 she married the love of her life, William A. Kunick at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac.
Mary graduated from St Mary’s Springs High School in Fond du Lac. Mary faithfully volunteered her time at Presentation Church & School for many years. She also worked at PDQ Deli & Bakery in NFDL then at St Francis Home in FDL. Mary was always thinking of others in all she did. She helped out in the community in various ways, including: meals on wheels, distributing communion to elderly in home parishioners, member of the church prayer line and was an advocate for ProLife. Caring for others was her mission. Loving and spending time with her family was of greatest importance to her. She truly cherished her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, William; her daughter, Christine (Ronald) Rohm of Janesville; her son, Michael (Rebecca) Kunick of Oakfield; two grandchildren, Laurel (Lennie) Childs Jr. and Joseph DeGarmo; two step-grandchildren, Nelita (Eric) Matter and Matthew (Savannah) Henning; great grandson, Louie Childs and step-great grandchildren, Audianna, Temperance and Reddington Matter. She is further survived by her sister, Sr. Angela Perrizo OSF; sister-in-law, Virginia Perrizo; many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lee Perizzo and her sister, Joan (Joseph) Mark.
Services: The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 20, 2022 for visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Presentation of the BVM, 705 Michigan Avenue, North Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Risen Christ, Calvary Mausoleum.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Oakwood Manor and Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion given to Mary and family.
