Robert A. “Bob” Klotz

Robert A. “Bob” Klotz, age 71, of New Holstein, died on December 27, 2023, at his home. He was born May 6, 1952, son of the late Ken and Eleanor Klotz. He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1970, and married Janice Hoerl on November 3, 1973, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg.

Bob was a sportsman, taking part in the Kiel Fish and Game Club, Industrial League Basketball, and the Outdoors Softball Club. He loved being outside hunting, whether it was deer, turkey, bear, squirrel, or pheasants. He helped coach his daughters’ softball and basketball teams and loved watching his grandchildren compete or perform. He was an extremely giving man even beyond his death; after his passing he was able to be an organ and tissue donor to help others in need. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice; his daughters: Nicole (Brian) Van Dyke and Shelly Klotz; grandchildren: Caiden Baltz, Lilith Jandrey, Violette Van Dyke, and Dominic Van Dyke; siblings: Kathleen (Carl) Plourde, James (Diane) Klotz, Patricia Radey, Sandra (Mike) Roepke, Daniel (Amy) Klotz, and Mary Jane Klotz; sisters-in-law: Sandy (Dan) Christopherson, Mary (Ken) Rach, Sharon (Tony) Hoepfner, and Jeanne Klotz; brother-in-law: Steven “Butch” (Terri) Hoerl; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Eleanor; a brother: Kerry Klotz; two godchildren: Samantha Barton and Andrea Klotz; in-laws: Melvin and Dolores Hoerl; sister-in-law: Linda Hoerl; and brother-in-law: Jerome Radey. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on the day of service at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton.
