Robert J. “Curly” Streblow

Robert J. “Curly” Streblow, 95, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 26, 2023. He was born in Fond du Lac on November 20, 1927, to John and Minnie (Priepke) Streblow. Curly married Margaret “Peggy” Kaschner on April 30, 1949. She preceded him in death on September 8, 1995. On March 6, 1998, Curly married Joyce Kiefer.

Curly served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed a lifetime of farming as well as other jobs including working at Galloway West until retirement. Curly enjoyed taking drives to check out crops and visiting neighbors and friends along the way.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Diane “Murphy” (Ralph) Thurk and Nancy (Lester) Schingen; four grandsons, Jonathan Thurk (fiancée Amanda and her son, Duelly), Scott Thurk, Robert Schingen, and Jason Schingen (Amy Witz); and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia. He is further survived by three step-sons, Allan Kiefer, Brian (Mary) Kiefer and their son, Alex, and Jeffrey (Debbie) Kiefer; a sister, Mary Lou Fox; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and first wife, Peggy, Curly was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Streblow; seven siblings, Glenn (Beatrice) Streblow, Bernice (Roland) Weber, Gertrude (William) Huber, Kenneth (Loraine) Streblow, Delores (Norman) Pfeiffer, John Streblow, Jr., and Marion (Leonard) Jordanski; and two brothers-in-law, Earl Wilke, and Robert Fox.

Per Curly’s request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place at Estabrook’s Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

The family extends a special thank you to SSM Health at Home Hospice for all their support and care for Curly and his family. They truly are wonderful.
