William L. Bowe
William L. “Bill” Bowe, age 59, of Hilbert, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born November 18, 1961 in Chilton, Wisconsin, son of Dorothy (Hephner) Bowe & the late Donald Bowe.
Bill was united in marriage to Kim Plach on August 28, 1981 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville.
With a lot of his grandfather’s personality in him, Bill appreciated dabbling in antiques and selling seafood across the road. He never looked to conform to the dreams of other people, but made sure to help friends and neighbors; always appreciating the gift that they would be in his life.
Bill lived every moment of his life to its fullest with times spent snowmobiling, chasing rummage sales and “road hunting”. He was a member of the Hilbert OxBow Sportsmans Club, loved riding his Harley and treasured time spent with his cats.
Through his years of camping and tending to the local cats at the campground, Bill was called many names, including “The Mayor”of Rivers’ Edge Campground; a name that was even recognized as such by nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He cherished his family and his friends but especially loved his granddaughter, Madison, his “Little Monster” calling out for her “Jampa”.
Survivors include his wife: Kim; his children: Willam Bowe & Rachel, Justin Bowe & Jen, Kayla Bowe & Jerad; a grandchild: Madison Bowe; his mother: Dorothy Bowe; his mother-in-law: Nancy Plach; his siblings: Gilbert “Bucky” (Pat) Bowe, Sandy (David) Kramarczyk, & Cheryl (Russ) Schmidt; and siblings-in-law: Tom Plach, Julie (Marc) Marcille, & Scott (Lori) Plach. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his his father: Donald; his father-in-law: Rudy Plach; and a brother: Raymond “Ricky” Bowe.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 3:45 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
