Ollie’s of Fond du Lac now open

Ollies, the newest and largest discount merchandise store in Fond du Lac is officially open.

Located in the old Big Lots building at 616 West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac, Ollies says it is able to offer brand-name merchandise for up to 70% off what common retail stores sell it for by buying the merchandise from other places at closeout prices, and then passing the savings on to the consumer.

Shoppers at the grand opening Wednesday, February 12, 2025, were greeted with common household items like laundry soap for under $2.00 a bottle.

Chatter on Fond du Lac social media was mostly positive with most saying the store is like a dollar store, just larger, with others saying its like Big Lots stores, just without the furniture. Ollies has recently made a regional push into the area by taking over several Big Lots locations with a store recently opening in Sheboygan as well.
