Outlet mall near Oshkosh in hands of 3rd owner in 5 years – Value drops more than 50% since last purchase
The Shops at Oshkosh, the outdoor outlet mall on the south side of the city, was sold in September for only $12 million to the owners of Woodman’s Food Market.
Woodman’s is now the third owner of the mall in the last five years. With many of the stores closed or planning to close, the malls future is left in question.
After being a staple for shopping in the area for the last 30 years, the mall never fully regained it’s popularity after the Covid 19 debacle which killed many businesses in the area.
The mall changed owners in 2021 for $29 million, but has dropped significantly in value since then to the $12 million it sold for in September.
Woodman’s has not yet said what its plan is for the mall.
