Over 1200 walleye caught during 2025 Mercury National Walleye Tournament

The 2025 Mercury National Walleye Tournament is in the books and the winning team was Wayne Gregor of Rosendale and Dale Boeck of Oshkosh.

Together They brought in their max of five walleye each day Saturday and Sunday for a total weight of 28 pounds 13 ounces, beating out the second place team by 1 1/4 pounds.

Gregor and Beck win over $50,000 worth of cash and prizes including a new Lund fishing boat powered by a Mercury Marine engine.

Of the 278 teams, 1213 walleye’s were caught for a total weight of 2475 pounds. Of those, 1169, or 96% were able to be rereleased back into Lake Winnebago alive.

The biggest fish caught was 5 pounds 14 oz, and the biggest one day total for a team was 5 fish weighing 17 pounds 7 oz.

This was the 47th annual Mercury National Walleye Tournament
