Part of westbound Johnson Street to close in Fond du Lac

The City of Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says the westbound lanes of east Johnson Street between National Avenue and Prairie Avenue will be closed for traffic starting Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:00 a.m., and remain closed until Monday, May 11th at 6:00am.

The closure will be in place to allow a private contractor to complete utility excavation and restoration at Moraine Park Technical College.

A signed detour will be south on Prairie Road, to Division Street west to National Avenue back north to Johnson Street.

Traffic headed west of Fond du Lac on Highway 23 NOT needing access to the city is encouraged to take the Highway 151 bypass to I-41, then back north to Highway 23.
