PHOTOS: Badgers Football pummel Eastern Michigan 54-10
The Wisconsin Badgers closed out their nonconference schedule with a 54-10 rout of Eastern Michigan Saturday at Camp Randall. Wisconsin fell behind 7-0 early, but then scored 41 straight points to take control.
Quarterback Colton Joseph had a huge game, throwing for 362 yards and four total touchdowns. Wide receiver Tyrell Henry set a Wisconsin single-game record with 14 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown. The Badgers also forced three Eastern Michigan turnovers.
The weather was definitely part of the story. Rain fell during the game, and the official box score lists the conditions as rain with a temperature of 66 degrees. Despite the weather, Wisconsin kept piling on points.
As for attendance, 66,545 fans were officially recorded, which is a notably sparse-looking Camp Randall crowd by Wisconsin standards. The rain clearly didn’t help the atmosphere, although reports noted that the fans who remained were eventually enjoying themselves in the wet conditions.
The Badgers improve to 2-1 and now open Big Ten play next Saturday at No. 14 Penn State.
