PHOTOS: Massive hail falls in Fond du Lac County
A supercell thunderstorm passed right through the heart of Fond du Lac County early Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 2026.
KFIZ News Director/Storm Chaser Doug Raflik got on the storm near Waupun, and followed an area of broad rotation northeast to the area of 175 and County Highway B.
Due to the speed of the storm and a lack of good road network, Raflik chose to let the storm go, and head north into the known hail core to see what size hail was falling. Up until this time, the largest reported was just over an inch big, south of Rosendale.
As Raflik approached the area north of Lost Arrow Road, hail as large as 3 inches plus began to fall around him. Raflik pulled over, and after the hail stopped, he ran out to grab a couple hailstones to take a photo.

We have also included photos submitted as well.

The National Weather Service out of southeast Wisconsin is asking for damage reports or severe reports from the storm.
