Powerlines trap county worker in plow truck
A Fond du Lac County Highway worker has escaped injury after powerlines somehow fell on their truck on the south end of Fond du Lac County.
Details are still coming in, but at 4:17 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Kewaskum Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Highway 45 and Sandy Road, just into Fond du Lac County for wires down across the road. Shortly after, it was learned that the lines were draped over a county plow truck with the driver of the truck still inside.
The fire department blocked Highway 45 until WE Energies could make it to the scene and clear the lines.
As of 5:15 a.m., a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy was responding to talk with the driver of the plow. If more details are learned how the incident happened, we will update this story here.
